Haverkort, Antonious Jacobus ~ November 22, 1927 – August 13, 2022 ~ It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Haverkort announce his passing at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes. He passed comforted by his wife Lynne Haverkort, and 4 daughters: Ramona Kozak (Larry), Judy Lightbound (David), Christina Haverkort and Jennifer Bowie (Craig). Predeceased by his son Bert Thomas Haverkort. Cherished Opa to 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jack Haverkort and Jon Haverkort, and predeceased by 9 siblings.

Tom moved to Canada in 1950 and settled in Markham, raised his family and was loved by many. Tom was a well-respected businessman in his community starting 2 businesses, Tom’s Grill and T&T Donuts. He moved to Lindsay in 2003. A Celebration of Life will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Friday, October 7th from 12:00pm until time of service at 1:00pm. Interment will take place at Grace Anglican Cemetery, Markham at a later date.
