MORRISSEY, David Charles – Passed away at his home on Friday, February 3, 2023. Dave was the beloved husband to Cathie (née Cresswell) for 44 years of marriage. He was the son to the late Vera (née Lucas) and David Sr. Morrissey. Loving father to Joel (Hannah) and Gena (Alex Taylor). Cherished “Davey” to Evelyn, Olivia, Myra, and Lachlan. Dear brother to Caroline Morrissey and Kathy Coulter (Jeno), and brother-in-law to Carol Loewen. He will be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. 

Dave’s interest for flying began while he was living in Australia and New Zealand. His career included more than 50 years flying to places like Mexico, the United States, Luxemburg, Belgium, and Northern Africa.  He had a passion for being on his motorcycle and driving in his sportscar which he got to enjoy in his retirement. 

Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Tuesday, February 7th from 6:00 – 8:00pm and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Downeyville, on Wednesday, February 8th at 11:00am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the St. Luke’s Hall. If desired, a memorial donation to the Canadian Lung Association or the University Health Network – Lung Transplant Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
