Tangney, Douglas Michael - Doug was born on May 3, 1945 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. His final curtain call was at Toronto General Hospital on April 4, 2023.

Beloved son of the late Grace and John Tangney. Dear brother of James "Bud" Tangney (Barbara) of Toronto, and the late David Tangney.

Doug devoted his life and earned countless accolades for his exemplary entertaining, on and off stage, in his home town of Lindsay as well as in Morrisburg, Toronto, Calgary, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland.

He established an amazing cast of true and dear friends. We would like to acknowledge and give heartfelt thanks to those who shared endless kindness to Doug throughout his life.

If a person's worth can be measured by the love he leaves behind, he was a wealthy man.

In lieu of flowers or donation, we believe Doug would appreciate if you do something nice for a stranger and/or something special for someone who may not be expecting it. There is as much gratification in giving as there is in receiving these kinds of gifts.

Doug entrusted his cremation arrangements to the Stoddart Funeral Home and requested there be no funeral service. A Celebration of Doug's life will take place at a later date.
