Hayes, Edith Beatrice “Betty” – Passed away peacefully at Frost Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 96. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. Betty was predeceased by her parents Sidney and Edith Barratt, her husband Bill Hayes, and her son James Hayes. She is survived by her son Warren and will be remembered by her Grandchildren Edward, Kevin, Kyle, the late Marc, the late Ryan and Meaghann. Great-Grandma of Jayden, Riley and Walker.

Born and raised in Cambray, where she in turn raised her children. Betty was a retired employee of CIBC in Lindsay, which was the only place Betty worked outside of the home, other than as a teenager. While raising her family in Cambray, Betty and her family were active members in the community and Cambray United Church. Betty was a proud member of the Cambray Women’s Institute and enjoyed traveling, socialising and being with her dogs.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at Eden Church Cemetery in the spring.  If desired, a memorial donation to the Cambray Community United Church would be appreciated.
