Prior, Frank Lawrence – Entered into rest peacefully surrounded by his family at the Ross Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Frank at the age of 80, was the loving husband of the late Ellen (nee O’Grady). Beloved Dad of Daniel (Trish), Michael (Zsuzsa), Sheri Mortimer (Mark), Stephen (Terry) and Marianne Johnson (Dana). Cherished Grandpa of Jon, Philip, Samantha, Nicholas, Thomas, and William. Great-Grandpa to Lillian and Sallina. Dear brother of Lynda Panter (Roy) and the late George Prior.   Frank was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, before serving a 28-year career as a Police Officer with the Ontario Provincial Police in Lindsay. He dedicated his time to volunteering in his community including St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Community Living and the Canadian Diabetes Association. He was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Lindsay. Frank and Ellen together, were active leaders of Cubs and Boy Scouts of Canada for the Lindsay area.   Friends are invited to call to the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Thursday, October 13th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Parish prayers and remembrances will be shared at 5:00pm. A private family interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lindsay. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes’ Association would be appreciated by the family.    The family would like to thank the nursing staff in Palliative Care at the Ross Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care, and Verna from St. Mary’s Catholic Church for her visits and friendship.
