CAMPBELL, George R.C. – February 3, 1939 - May 17, 2023



Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Hospital, Oshawa on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. George "Geordie" at the age of 84, was the beloved husband of the late Constance (Webster). Loving Father to Julie Collingham (the late Jeff), Melanie Campbell and Curtis Campbell (Carrie Allen). Cherished Grandfather to Gregory, Emma, Jorja, and A.J. Dearest brother to Pauline Taylor (Stan), Joan Windrem (the late Ron, and the late Harold), and Debbie Teel (Fred). Dear brother-in-law to Bruce Webster (Nancy).  Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  George will especially be remembered by Mary Labaj, and family.



Geordie loved the sport of hockey and excelled at it in his high school and adult days playing under contract to Hamilton for the Peterborough Petes in the 1950s.



George’s work career was in the automotive field of sales from Peterborough Automotive to McKerlie Millen as a Regional Sales Manager.  George sought out and had a lengthy career in real estate which furthered into doing bank appraisals. In his later years, George went back to being on the road in automotive sales for Impact Auto, Uxbridge, and Bumper to Bumper, Pickering.



In keeping with George’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at Eden Church Cemetery, Cambray, ON on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 1:00pm.  Following the graveside service there is a gathering to Celebrate George’s Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 184, Woodville, ON from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the charity of your choice which would be appreciated by the family.
