OUDENAMPSEN, Jan – On April 22, 2023, we lost an incredible man peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital. Jan in his 91st year, was the beloved husband of the late Jane (née Smit) (2014). Born in the Netherlands, on October 18, 1932, to parents Hendrik and Trijn, he is predeceased by his 8 siblings and leaves behind his youngest sister, Jacoba Haan. Jan was much loved by his 4 daughters: Grace (Ken), Janette (Ray), Roselyn (Denis) and Maryka (Daryl). Cherished grandfather to Matthew, Mark (Caitlin), Daniel (April), Catherine (Tim), Jonathan and Emma-Nuelle, Great-grandfather to Mason, Dillon and Logan. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, April 26th from 11:00am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. If desired, a memorial donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
