Finney, Carl Albert – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday April 22, 2022 in his 87th year.  Beloved husband of the late Valerie Finney (2017), father of five children Carol Jewell (and the late Dale Jewell), Allan, Paul (Barb), Louise Smusiak (Dave) and Kevin (Wendi).  Proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren Derek (Jennifer), Brent (Melissa) and Alisha Davis (Kyle), pre-deceased by Karla, Joal (Michelle), Andrew (Fannie), and Jeanna (James), Lauren Steinsky (Trevor) and Arden (Riley), Brock (Marina) and Garrett (Meghan), and Madison (Brandon) and Mackenzie.  Along with 7 great grandchildren, Jack, Alexa-Ann and Ava-Leigh Jewell, Gus and Wally Steinsky, Austin Finney, and Brooklyn Davis.  Survived by his brother Neil (Susan) and sister-in-law Donna Finney (the late Rae), brother-in-law Harry VanBeek (the late Marie) and the late Verna.  Brother-in-law to Mary, Theresa, Anne and Jim and predeceased by Kevin, Michael, Margaret, Helen, Sheila, William and Charles. Carl will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their dedicated care and compassion in Carl’s final days.  Visitation will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Thursday, April 28th from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00p.m. and on Friday, April 29th from 10:00a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lifford. If desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Canopy Project Kawartha Lakes or St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lifford which would be appreciated by the family.
