O’NEILL, Melissa Suzanne Zella (née Barker) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 9, 2023.  Melissa had a very brief battle with cancer before she was taken from us. She will forever be remembered as a fun loving and giving person with a heart of gold. She is survived by her loving husband Robert O’Neill of 27 years. Adoring Mom of Elissa Harrison (Brett) and Joseph (Lexie). Cherished Grandma of Isabelle. Loving daughter of Suzanne (née Webster) and the late Gary Barker. Melissa was the well-loved daughter-in-law to the late William and Bernice O’Neill. She was a wonderful sister to Mona Lisa Routh (Wayne) and Meredith Montgomery.  Dear sister-in-law to Genevieve O’Neill (Pat Campbell), Jim O’Neill (Mary Catherine) and Bernadette O’Neill (John Campbell). Melissa had many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that adored her. There is a huge hole in the hearts of many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Friday, April 14th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
