Quietly announcing the passing of Olav Thorkild Andersen, Nov. 28th, 2021 at the age of 91 and 10 months. Cremation has taken place, by the Stoddart Funeral Home, Lindsay, Ontario. Olav was the soul mate of the late Eva Westbrook (2012) for 52 years. They lived on the 16th and 10th concession, R.R. 3 Schomberg for decades where they operated Holly Park Meats. Olav was a proud member of the Nobleton Lions Club for decades and received the Helen Keller plaque for service but being technically blind did not detour him from insisting he be helpful in any way he could. He and his Lion Member (Lion Joe) sold tickets to functions at the Nobleton Plaza wherever they could set up. The Lion Members helped Olav and Eva attend many functions by picking them up and driving them home safely. Olav and Eva enjoyed raising dozens of colourful and melodic canaries that could be heard singing from sunrise to sunset in their special little outside protected enclosure. I was told that it was only the males that sung, though it was the females that made the males so happy and sing they did. A private family graveside inurnment will occur at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton, Ont.
