Peter “Petrus” John Van den Elsen - October 29th, 1936 Oss Holland December 17th, 2021 [Ross Memorial Hospital] Lindsay On. Ca. With the heaviest hearts, we are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of beloved father, partner, brother and friend, ‘Peter John Van den Elsen’ . Full of wisdom and kindness. Peter was smart, business-minded, yet simple and humble. He loved-hard and was passionate in all that he believed in. Peter was the rock to all those he loved and adored. In his last days, we were blessed with the opportunity to have spent the best week together. Peter was full of love, happy and healthy, joking and laughing; spending time with his family doing his favourite things. He had the opportunity to reunite with loved ones, spend the time with his beloved partner and daughter in walks and drives to his favourite places, partaking in his favourite extracurricular activities. “Thank-you for sharing your last moments with us..” This week was special, but each and every moment with Peter always was. “Each and every day spent with you, is a day we will always remember.” We will forever love Peter, as many did, and live with only the most fulfilling memories of him. He lived 85 years on earth but will forever live in our hearts and spirit. It’s his love we will forever hold, and it’s his memory we will forever cherish. Peter will always be remembered by his beloved partner, Linda Joy Marlyn, he will be truly missed by his three step-children and five beautiful grandchildren. Linda will continue to love the man she holds so deeply in her heart, as she did everyday in life. Peter, the most loving and devoted father. One bond that was undeniably strong is the love he shared with his beloved daughter, Katie Dineen VandenElsen. Peter will always hold the entirety of her heart and their bond will never be broken. Peter John Van den Elsen, son of Adriana and William Van den Elsen was a loving brother to John Van Elsen (Helen) (predeceased), Gerry Elsen (Liz), Mary Hardwick (Rick), Hank Van Oss (Patt), Annie Elliott (Orval). To all of his beloved family and friends, we would like to thank-you for all the times you shared with him; the special memories and moments he held close to his heart.
We cannot describe how much he will truly be missed or how much he was truly loved..
See you in church, We love you.
Rest In Peace in Heaven, Peter John Van den Elsen.
In Honour of Peters’ memory, the family will be holding a “Celebration of Life,” in late spring with immediate family and loved ones.
