McGeough, Veronica (née O’Leary) – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Veronica McGeough announce her passing surrounded by her family and loved ones, on Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, a few days before her 88th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband and best friend for over 65 years, James, who passed on May 8, 2022. Veronica was also the loved and adored Mom to Sharon Moyer (George), Bernie (Sherry), Dave and Shawn (Ginger). Loving and proud Grandma to Andrew Moyer (Pam), Jessica Deveaux (Brandon), Oli Moyer and Maddie McGeough. A cherished sister to Don and Sharon O’Leary, Florence O’Neill and Suzanne O’Leary. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Lavina O’Leary, siblings Nora Woodcock and Paul O’Leary, brothers-in-law Ansel Woodcock and Paul O’Neill. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, from 11:00a.m. until 12:30p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Downeyville at 1:00p.m. Interment will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery. Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the family is requesting that all guests wear a face mask or face covering.  If desired, a memorial donation to the Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes – Hospice Services would be appreciated by the family.
