ALTVATER, Wilhelm “Willi” – Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Mary Street on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Willi at the age of 77, was the beloved husband of Sharon (née McCabe) for 54 years of marriage. Loving Dad of Kelly Connell and Robert Altvater (Carrie). Cherished Grandpa to Kevin and Kristie Klaver (Dillon), Riker Altvater (Courtney) and Mikey. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Anna (née Schaffer), siblings Annie (Frank), Henry (Cecilia), Imrie (George), Elizabeth, Katie (Paul) and Wally (Cheryl). 

Willi co-owned Falcon Tool Mould in 1976 where he was a licensed Mould/Tool and Die Maker after working for John Thomas. Outside of work, Willi was the chairman for the I.T.C. and loved to read, be in the outdoors, and was an avid soccer player, as well as a black belt in karate. 

He will be missed by many extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will follow. If desired, a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.  Online donations and condolences can be made through Stoddart Funeral Home.
