Doris and Elaine. Heartfelt sympathy to each of you at this difficult time. It is my hope that family ties will be your anchor in the days to come, knowing that Karen has been reunited with her Dad and Mom.

Karen was one of those people who are good to the core. If there was ever any way she could help anyone, she was always quick to offer. Her laugh from across of the lake was infectious, and her positive, generous and friendly spirit will be greatly missed.

Karen is somebody not to be forgotten. She had a wonderful laugh that came from the heart, like a kid. She loved her children and was the poster girl for exceptional Grandmothers, living for her two angelic grandkids – a love that saw her wage a ferocious battle over a cruel and hideous disease for years. This was a fight she kept personal and she fought it with intensity and privacy and, despite her winning so many wars over the years, it eventually took her away from the things she loved most. Her husband and home on the lake (their piece of retirement heaven), her growing family – and especially Ava and Adelyn. A hard worker, she and Brian deserved their full retirement and the love of family and friends. Her fighting spirit will be missed, as will her laugh and her love of a good visit.
