I am saddened to hear of Steve's passing. Over the years we had many conversations over a pint at our local Appraisal Chapter meetings. These usually started by Steve asking how things were up in "the wilds of Haliburton". Then we would chew about market conditions and the state of the business, before moving on to the political crisis of the day. This was all tempered with some good laughs of course. I am sure many of our members will recall similar conversations with Steve. He was a long time member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and a steadfast AIC supporter. He will be sorely missed. On behalf of the members of the Peterborough-Lindsay Chapter of the AIC, I would like to extend our sympathies and sincere condolences to his wife Ruth and to all his family.
Gary Baumgartner, BSc, CRA, P.App, Chapter co-Chair.

Dear Ruth and family, Please accept our deepest sympathies for the sudden passing of the Cal.The memories are fond ones of our days at Cambrian College in Sudbury followed by the several gathering and events with the boys over the years where laughs and pops were always had. Going to miss my favourite Irishman with that always raw and wonderful sense of humour. May peace be with you and the family and keep his spirit with you forever. Cheers, Barb and Bob Pigeau
